- Gestational age: >34+6 weeks
- Birth weight ≥ 1750 g
Aim: to evaluate the performance of Picterus Jaundice Pro in newborns of a Nepali population.
Methods: observational cross-sectional study evaluating correlation of bilirubin measuring methods:
- Images (Picterus JP)
- Transcutaneous Bilirubinometer (TcB) (Drager Jaundice meter JM-105)
- Total serum bilirubin (TSB) measurements
Results: Picterus JP demonstrated high sensitivity and specificity, outperforming visual assessment. Measurements by Picterus JP showed a slight systematic underestimation of TSB values.
